The Bridgeton School was built in 1925 and used as a public school until the school closed its educational doors in 1986. When Bridgeton School and its "Raccoons" were consolidated, it was then purchased by a local, private individual who once himself walked the halls of this school as a Parke County student.
His Mission Statement: to bring as much joy and happiness as possible to everyone who enters her double doors.
When asked why he couldn't let the town tear down the old school, the owner replies with a smile: "Children's dreams once flourished through her wonderful halls and doors; Adults' memories are following them. Students have come and go, but one thing is for sure, their memories are very much alive when they walk through those doors. To see the look on those people's faces as they reminice, as they tell stories of days gone by, is priceless. It's a heartfelt feeling you just can't describe. And one that you soon don't forget."
